PRHC heads to Nepal in 2013!
Phoenix Rising Healing Centre will be working in support of Developing World Connections, a BC registered Canadian Charitable Organization, who are grassroots, non sectarian and who have no religious or political ties. They believe that working alongside local people in the developing world on a poverty alleviating project builds hope. . . and so does PRHC! Centre owner, Adele Stratton and her assistant Jennifer Walker, will be raising funds over the next few months to go to Chainpur, Nepal. Once there, they will spend two weeks building a new, safe school room for the children of the area. Many of these children have been freed of child labour, but they are currently going to school in dilapidated buildings that are dangerous for anyone to be in. With the help of this new building, these children will have a worry free experience as they try to learn and better their lives. We will be traveling with Megan Campbell, who does many charitable trips in conjunction with her Journey of the Yogini, she works with Developing World Connections to make this trip possible.
